IN RESPONSE TO LAGRANGE's REPLY That claim is completely wrong. I spoke to my bank, and this has nothing to do with them. You're simply keeping my deposit. I've filed complaints with Booking.com and Lagrange Head Office, and raised a credit dispute. I'll also post this review on as many online platforms as I can. Three weeks after our stay, I'm still trying to get back the refundable security deposit they said would be returned at checkout. They've stopped responding to my messages, so I've also complained to Booking.com. The apartment was very dirty, and it clearly hadn't been cleaned after the previous guests. The WiFi never worked. There was only one toilet roll for four people. The kitchen was basic and short on equipment: just two knives and two pans, which made cooking difficult, and no proper oven. They provided a very strict inventory of cleaning charges and damages, but many items on it were missing. For cleaning, we had just one dirty cloth, and the vacuum cleaner was poor. Reception also seemed never to be open, and several times we couldn't reach a staff member when we needed one. I tried more than once to sort this out without leaving bad reviews, but they simply don't care. Avoid this accommodation and the Lagrange group.

Getting around to ski takes some effort. To head out, you can walk uphill to the Biquet button lift in Plagne Village, or cross the car park to the edge of the Escarte piste and ski down to the Bergerie Chairlift. Coming back, you need to find your way through the trees at the bottom of Chevrette piste, which is a bit of fun. The Telebus Telecabine up in Plagne Village, up the hill, takes you to main Plagne Centre. We were four people, all over 16, in Apartment 204, which can sleep six. It isn't posh, but it was comfortable, clean, warm and cosy all week. The first bedroom has a double bed that can be made into twins, plus built-in storage. The second is a bunk room with some wardrobe space. There's a bathroom with a sink, shower, WC and heater, another with a sink, bath and shower over it, and a separate WC. The kitchenette has a fridge with an icebox, a combi microwave whose instructions had worn off, dishwasher, hob, kettle, filter coffee machine, pans, mixing bowls, utensils, crockery and cutlery. Glasses were in short supply, and there was no toaster. It also has a sink and bin. The dining table seats six. In the lounge, two sofa beds serve as sofas, with a TV and coffee table. The electric heating was the usual kind for a ski resort, and the place stayed cosy. There was plenty of hot water for baths and showers, and lots of plug sockets. Bring a couple of multi-plugs for all your chargers. Our ski locker was two doors down on the second floor. Reception gave us its key and the door code. The pool was warm and stayed open until 8 pm. We'd stay here again.

The view and the accommodation were fantastic, with spacious, fairly modern rooms and plenty of parking. There's lift access to the rooms, which is handy. Getting to the slopes isn't ideal, though, and as far as I could tell, there's no Wi-Fi in the building.

A nice apartment overall, with good amenities, though it's a little small for seven people. The pillows are rubbish.
