The rooms are fairly spacious and would suit a family with young children. There’s a pull-out sofa in the living area, a bedroom with a smallish double bed, and a bunk-bed room with its own shower and sink. There’s also a separate toilet and bathroom with a sink, plus a hairdryer. The kitchen has a dishwasher, two small hobs, a toaster, a kettle if yours works, a coffee machine, and a combi grill microwave. I couldn’t find instructions for the microwave, even on Google. The noise is what put me off staying again. We knew it was in the resort centre, but didn’t expect to hear club music in every room until the last bar shut just after 02:00. Sleeping was a nightmare after a full day skiing, so bring earplugs. You’re expected to strip the beds and take the linen and towels out at the end. We couldn’t find the bin area, so I can’t say where it is. Bring extra washing-up liquid and dishwasher tabs. Reception hours are short, usually 09:00 - 11:00 and 17:00 - 19:00, closed all Wednesday, and open most of Saturday. On Monday, during check-in, they asked to enter our room on Wednesday to check the balcony. We agreed and left our spare key; they said they’d put it in the safe box for us. We went skiing, and one person in our party came back early for a half day. Since we only had one key, we told them to get the spare from the safe. We were in Les Arc when they called about 40 minutes later to say it wasn’t there. We had to travel all the way back from Les Arcs to let them in. Reception was closed Wednesday, and we didn’t want to wait until 09:00 Thursday because we wanted an early start back to Les Arcs, so we had to pick the key up that evening. Not impressed overall.

There were six apartments for just me and my mate, so we had loads of room, and everything was clean and tidy. The location was handy, with SPAR, a bar, and a bakery only a few meters away. The downside was the nightclub on the corner. Smokers gathered outside and it got really noisy most nights. My room was at the back, luckily, and I used earplugs. There’s no oven or food storage, just a microwave and hob, so dinner options are limited.
The apartments are reasonably priced, but cleanliness could be better. There was a lot of dust and dirt on the stairs and in the bathrooms. With the place at its full capacity of 10, the couch had to be turned into beds. It was good that it split into two beds, but giving up the living room for them wasn’t great. The bathroom and bed were both very dated and broken. Bedsheets are provided, and the woman at reception helped me find the right ones for the beds in the living room.
Alexandra and the management made us feel warmly welcomed. The apartments were comfortable and well equipped, and the wellness area was a nice extra. Odalys Le Pelvoux in La Plagne is right in the heart of the resort, with direct ski-in/ski-out access.
The location is excellent, right in the centre, and there are bars and clubs in the hotel. Younger groups looking for some apres-ski may like that. Staff don’t complain even when people have parties in their apartments. Parking costs extra, so factor that in when comparing prices. Reception was open only four of the seven days we stayed, possibly because of covid. We weren’t concerned about the outside appearance, though it might bother some people. This is a 3*, definitely not a 4*. The beds are really small for two adults, with low-quality mattresses. The couch is actually better if you want a decent night’s sleep. Proper beds with good mattresses would make a big difference.
