Lac du logerie

That homely family feel made it hard to leave 😢. Rustic, close to nature, and so relaxing.

The quiet setting was a plus, and the Wi-Fi and breakfast were good. The room cost €58 a night with breakfast, FYI. But there was no air conditioning, and in hot weather, especially a heatwave, that’s a real problem. The room had no way to get a draft going, and there were no fans for extreme heat. On the night of August 15-16, 2025, it was stifling. I’d booked the room to rest after a long trip from Portugal to France, but couldn’t sleep until after 1:30 a.m. There was also no TV antenna. The finishes were poor: the bed shelves sagged, some walls were loose, and the terrace door wouldn’t open all the way. The mosquito net didn’t keep insects out at night, the mattress was too soft, and there was a strong damp, musty smell. In some spots, the floor sagged under every step.

The hostess was really welcoming and friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. It’s a very peaceful spot, close to a small lake. Thank you.

The peaceful atmosphere was much appreciated, and the welcome was warm. The staff were helpful, the room was pleasant, the shower was easy to use, and breakfast was very generous. A fond memory.
