I was charged twice for my Booking.com reservation at Première Classe Honfleur, once when I paid at the property and again by Booking.com. I've sent the hotel more than ten emails, but haven't received a reply or a refund. The whole process has been frustrating and taken a lot of time. The hotel is right off the highway and has a roadside motel feel. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the centre. For peace of mind, I'd spend a few euros more to stay somewhere else. Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1/5)

Reception only operates at certain hours, so plan your arrival around that. Our room wasn't ready by the official check-in time, and the cleaning staff seemed poorly organized. The room itself was clean, and the bed was comfortable, just what we needed after a long day of exploring. The area was quiet, so nights were peaceful. Breakfast isn't included automatically. It costs €6.20, so be sure to book it with your room. In summer, parking can fill up quickly. There's a gate and a small entrance, but both stay open around the clock, so the parking doesn't feel particularly secure. There's no air conditioning, which could be uncomfortable in hot weather. We had a generally pleasant stay at Première Classe Hotel in Honfleur. It's a decent budget option if you don't expect too much.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, though the hotel itself is pretty much what you'd expect for this type of place, without much luxury. Nathalie at reception really improved my stay. I was having trouble with the self check-in and she was quick to help. Thanks!

The rooms are small, and the en-suite bathroom is tiny, but both are practical. The shower felt like one in a caravan or on an overnight ferry, though there was plenty of hot water. The hotel was spotless and looked well kept, and the staff were friendly and mostly very professional. Breakfast arrived several minutes late one morning, but otherwise things went smoothly. Breakfast is a simple continental spread: fresh croissants, baguette, sliced wholemeal bread with a toaster, yoghurt, preserves, orange juice and a coffee machine with plenty of choices. It was enough, though there was no fruit, meat or cheese, so it wasn't great for my low-carb diet 😬. It's a budget hotel and does the essentials for a budget price. Ours was about €70 with breakfast. Walking into Honfleur isn't ideal, but it's close enough, and there are a few restaurants and grocery shops nearby. Amoretto is about 10 minutes away and good value for Italian food. For an overnight stay, I'd recommend it. It knows what it is and doesn't pretend to be something more expensive.

The staff deserve full marks. We were on a long bike-packing trip when one of our bikes broke, so we had to work around our stay and bike arrangements. Natalie and her team were lovely, attentive and friendly, and nothing seemed too much trouble. They made everything much easier. The outdoor areas were excellent, with covered spots for eating and relaxing, cushioned seats, a pétanque court, table tennis and secure parking. It's a bit of a walk into town, but there's a nice route through the back streets. I'd skip the McDonalds next door: we had an awful last-minute meal there, so eat in town instead. We stayed two nights in May 2024. The room was very small, stuffy without air conditioning, and quite noisy. Cigarette smoke came through the back windows. The bathroom had a plastic, caravan-like feel and a clingy rail curtain, but good towels and wash soap were provided. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was basic, with no savoury items, but there was enough. Comfort-wise, it's a decent stop for a couple of nights, though the small room could be harder for a longer stay.
