This chateau would be a lovely place for a family reunion, and its location makes it easy to explore the area. We really enjoyed our stay, which was the highlight of our trip here. The house and grounds are spacious and well maintained, in a beautiful setting. You can tell the owners have put a lot of love into it. We hope to come back.

The kids had a glorious time playing with the other children staying there, and we had a wonderful week with Charlotte and Jerome at the Loire Valley Retreat. The countryside setting is stunning, with animals and lovely scenery all around. Charlotte and Jerome made the stay special with BBQ and pizza evenings, plus a wine tasting that was a real highlight. One afternoon, Charlotte took our children to the local petting zoo so we could relax, and booking a babysitter for an evening out was easy. It’s a perfect family holiday. We’ll be back!

We’d rebooked for next year before we’d even left. This was our second stay at the Loire Valley Retreat, and we loved it even more than the first. It’s an experience built around family time, sharing, and relaxing. The buildings are beautiful, the surroundings incredibly scenic, and there are loads of activities to make the children’s stay magical. The specialist wine tasting in the atmospheric cellars was a highlight. Our young children, 6 and 3, had the time of their lives. Charlotte and her daughter, Madeline, took them to a local petting zoo where they rode donkeys, giving us an afternoon to relax by the pool.

Sleeping in a castle felt like a real treat, and the rooms were clean and beautiful. The house was warm and cosy, and our hosts were attentive from the moment they welcomed us. They helped with local information, places to visit, and even finding options for our son’s birthday party. We had a wonderful weekend at Loire Valley Retreat over the Easter break. We’d love to come back with our extended family next year. Thank you!

What a gem. From the kids’ toys to the donkey, everything was perfect, and the hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating. Charlotte and Jerome introduced us to the locals and the vineyards, and even let me charge my Tesla. We’ll definitely visit again.
