We had some truly blissful moments here. The house is lovely, decorated with taste, and has a garden facing the river, with the village church rising above it. Our room was roomy, comfortable, and spotless, and the welcome was unlike any I've had in a long time. We were served an excellent homemade meal for €15, with a complimentary aperitif offered as well. It's a little bit of paradise beside the Creuse River. Go there!
I came back from spa treatment in La Roche-Posay, France, a dermatology hub, and I can't say enough good things about this place in the Creuse Valley. I was a little apprehensive when I arrived, but the stay turned out to be more than pleasant, truly magical. The views, setting, and decor all make you feel comfortable, almost at home. What stays with me most is how kind everyone was, especially Isabelle. She takes such joy in making exquisite dishes with delicate flavors every day. I miss it so much and feel sorry to be back home. This is absolutely an address to visit, and I highly recommend it.
An essential stop in this dreary landscape, and excellent! After a very good night's sleep in complete silence, apart from the sound of the Creuse River, what a joy to sit down to eat.
It's all here: peace, calm, kindness, and a remarkable table. The view over the Creuse and the Notre-Dame church beside this magical place is breathtaking.
The hostess is incredibly kind, and the setting is so pleasant. Honestly, if you're in La Roche-Posay, this is the restaurant you have to visit.
