Hôtel de la Gare

The carpet was filthy-looking, dated, and covered in stains of who knows what. During my two-night stay, the room wasn't made up and the towels weren't changed. In the restaurant, the Sunday pastries were the leftovers from Saturday, rock hard and smelling bad. Even the other breakfast pastries were cold and barely baked. Disgusting. The room stank of mold, nothing was soundproofed, and the heater didn't work. I could hear every passing car as though I were under the road, despite being three floors up, plus conversations from all the adjoining rooms. Hope you enjoy being woken by someone else's phone alarm at random hours. There's no one at reception, and the toilet and bathroom are so tiny you have to crab-walk to get to either one. It's clearly not a three-star hotel as soon as you walk in. The only explanation I can think of is the restaurant downstairs, which isn't even open on weekends. Two stars at best, and that's generous. I was very disappointed. Honestly, go to the Campanile next door. It's cheaper and doesn't have these problems.

The team is so attentive, breakfast is fresh, and you feel looked after. The location is great too. We don't often stay in three-star hotels, but this one is comfortable and I love it. I'd recommend it.

It's a pleasant little hotel just across from the train station, with a clean room and a nice restaurant, though the menu is very basic. The staff were friendly, especially considering my poor French. I was told there was secure parking for my motorbike, but that wasn't true.

The room smelled strongly of mold, and there was no air conditioning or minibar, so we couldn't chill our drinks in the hot weather. Nearly everything in the room was broken. The bathtub was worn out, and so was the carpet. The restaurant food was awful: a raw burger, pasta that wasn't cooked through, plus bugs and a human hair in the food.
