Apartment With one Bedroom in La Rochelle, With Wonderful City View, Furnished Balcony and Wifi - 3 km From the Beach

Inside, the room felt more like a 4*hotel than a hostel. The wooden closets matched the comfy bunks, which had plenty of space, and the reading light worked well. There was also a sofa, a few books, a decorative fireplace, and three-metre-high windows that made the room feel bright and airy. The bathroom and corridor looked recently refurbished, and the whole place, including the tastefully decorated cafe, was spotless. The cobbled streets and grand entrance made me feel like I was in a castle waiting for d'Artignan to arrive!

The only letdown was being placed in a room with four older guests. I'd hoped to meet new people, and that was a little difficult in that situation, though it may have had more to do with La Rochelle than the hostel. Otherwise, I had a lovely stay. The beds were spacious and comfortable, with lockers and extra storage below. My top bunk was easy to climb because the ladder was wide, and there was room beside the pillow for my things. The bedding was nice, and I liked the hostel's design and atmosphere. It's great value, clean, and one of the most beautiful hostels I've stayed at in France. Breakfast was nice, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location is right in the city centre. They also serve barista coffee.

The building has a special charm, and I think that would be especially satisfying for travellers from abroad. It's a wonderful hostel with everything a traveller could want: clean, comfortable, private, and staffed by friendly people.

I spent 8 nights here and came away seriously impressed. The location is unbeatable, and downstairs there's a great quiet space to work. The restaurant on site was a welcome bonus too. Inside, the design felt stylish and thoughtful, and the rooms were spotless. The beds were very comfortable, with sleeping pods that had blackout curtains and soundproofing for a great night's sleep. There was plenty of daylight, and central heating and air conditioning kept the temperature comfortable. I'd absolutely recommend staying here. It exceeded my expectations in every way.
