The location is hard to beat, just a stone’s throw from the harbour, and there was no noise at night. Staff were lovely and made check-in easy, even though I booked at 10:30pm and arrived at 11. They gave me all the information I needed. The room’s fan was a lifesaver in the hot weather. You can come and go as you please. A great stay!

Hotel Henri 4 is right in the heart of La Rochelle, close to the main attractions, shops, and restaurants, with the picturesque old port just a short stroll away. The city’s lively atmosphere is all around. The hotel itself feels inviting, with tastefully decorated rooms that mix modern comfort and traditional charm. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were clean. Staff paid attention to our needs and were always ready to help with a smile, whether we wanted local recommendations or needed something else. Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of fresh, tasty choices, and the breakfast room was cozy. Hotel Henri 4 is a lovely place to stay in La Rochelle. I’m confident you’ll have a wonderful time there.

It was cheap, but dealing with bed bug bites from the stay and worrying about bringing them back to the UK made it absolutely not worth it. Filthy place.

The room was clean, but very basic, and the bathroom light was broken. There are better places to stay for the same price.
