ibis Styles La Rochelle Centre Gare

The bed was lovely and comfortable, and breakfast was fantastic. Check-in was welcoming and attentive, and it was very good value for money. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in La Rochelle.

There’s safe parking for 11 Euro for 24 hours, and the hotel is close to all the sights. Staff were friendly, and the rooms were nice once I got used to the factory style. My partner thought the decorating hadn’t been finished ;0) Our room had the shower and toilet in separate spaces, which was nice. The bar, breakfast, and lounge area were lovely. I wish I’d brought my swimsuit.

The pool stays open longer than at other hotels I’ve stayed in, which is a plus. It’s an easy walk to the port, where La Rochelle gets busy. There’s a train line behind the property, and you can notice it when you’re outside, but we weren’t bothered by the noise indoors.

The hotel gave our group plenty of space to catch up over pool games, drinks, and a swim. I’d already spent a few months working in La Rochelle and enjoying Greet’s welcoming atmosphere and spacious rooms, so I booked two rooms for five friends on a European group holiday, one pop room and one family room. It’s very close to the center but away from the noise, alongside a beautiful blue-green river. It had everything we needed. Breakfast was very nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’ll be back.
