The breakfast was superb, with artisan jams and lots of special treats, and the comfortable bedrooms were tastefully decorated. Cécile, the owner and manager, clearly puts a lot of thought into this excellent little hotel. It’s just minutes from the harbour and restaurant area, and she shares a list of great dining recommendations. I felt lucky to have found 'Un Hotel en Ville'. Since staying there, I’ve recommended both the hotel and La Rochelle to many friends.
10/10
Cecile made us feel welcome, and the location was nice. We stayed three nights and had a wonderful time. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
8/10
The rooms seemed recently renovated, were clean, and had a decent amount of space. There’s free parking within walking distance, too. For La Rochelle, this is one of the more reasonably priced hotels, and it’s close to the three towers, the harbour, and the old town.
10/10
It was easy to get around the historic centre from this chic little hotel in the middle of La Rochelle. Cecile has only recently taken it over, but she was incredibly helpful to my wife and me and did everything she could to make our holiday a lovely one. The hotel is very friendly and accommodating.
10/10
Ce'cile was extremely accommodating, and the hotel was a great place to stay. It’s tucked away in a quiet spot, yet only a short walk from the port, bars, and restaurants. The location worked perfectly for us.
