The quiet pool area and its incredible views, especially at sunset, made relaxing here a pleasure. We loved our stay at Mas de Carabelle. Valeria and John, with Nanna the dog, clearly put their hearts into making guests feel welcome, even before arrival. Our ground-floor room was a good size, comfortable, fresh, and spotlessly clean. The large beds and linen were excellent, and there were thoughtful touches often missed in French B&Bs: soft bath and pool towels, fresh flowers, and air conditioning. The separate shared kitchen was also a real plus, with a washer, dryer, and lots of fridge space. There was safe bike storage with charging too. Breakfast on the deck was a treat almost every day, with homemade granola, fruit, yogurt, other homemade goodies, and jams John made. We also tried an evening supper from John and Vally, which was delicious, fun, and incredible value. Vally and John were generous with local tips and helped with restaurant bookings, vineyards, markets, and anything else we asked about. Roque Alric worked perfectly for our e-bike rides, with plenty of trails and quiet lanes, both on and off road, for exploring this beautiful part of Provence.

The views and setting at Mas de Carabelle are stunning, and Val and John make you feel like you’re being welcomed into their home and daily life. They’re wonderful hosts, and nothing feels like too much trouble. We shared a lovely dinner they prepared, and John’s cooking was a highlight. Breakfast was fresh each day, with homemade bread or croissants, fruit, and jams. Don’t miss John’s granola, it’s delicious. Even the locally sourced hand soap and shower gel feel carefully chosen. This is much more than an ordinary B&B stay. I can’t wait to return next year.

John’s cooking was fantastic, and the accommodation was lovely, peaceful, scenic, and spotlessly clean. Val and John went out of their way to take care of our wishes and requirements. They were also a great source of local knowledge, with advice on history, restaurants, wines, hikes, and more. I’m looking forward to visiting Mas de Carabelle again and enjoying their hospitality. There’s hardly a bad view from Mas de Carabelle, and La Rocque-Alric is a tiny jewel in the countryside. Our group had a marvelous time there, thanks in no small part to Val and John, such thoughtful hosts who seemed to anticipate what we wanted. John made a perfectly paired dinner for our first night, and they shared great nearby suggestions for shopping, hikes, and restaurants. The rooms were lovely, bright, fresh, very clean, and had comfortable linens. Breakfast each day was tasty and filling, with fresh-baked bread and house-made granola. You can feel how much Val and John love sharing their beautiful home. I can’t wait to go back!

The apartment is cozy, very clean, well maintained, and furnished with care and style. A flower-filled garden, courtyard, and warm atmosphere made it easy to relax, and the breakfast and pool were fantastic too. We’ve now stayed at Mas de Carabelle in La Roque-Alric three times, and each visit has been incredibly beautiful, peaceful, and wonderful. Valeria and John are caring, lovely hosts, always ready with tips and ideas that help you feel comfortable and at home straight away. It’s a real insider tip, and we’ll certainly return many more times. Thank you!
