This place felt completely overpriced and far from everything. You have to go about 5 km for food, a book, or a magazine, so we felt dependent on the owners. The beach and restaurants are 1 km away. The beach has dark, dirty sand. There are small nearby beaches with clear water and white sand, but the stones mean you should bring sandals or water shoes. In hot weather with the mistral blowing, it can feel scary, and some areas are closed. Still, walking at least 5 km each day up and down between the guesthouse, beaches, and village center was good exercise for us.

The generous breakfast and the kindness of Laurence and Michel made our stay special. Michel even shares his Belgian humor. We loved being close to the sea, with beautiful forest walks nearby, and the view over the Saint Mandrier peninsula and Toulon harbor was magnificent. We'd come back if we get the chance.
