I arrived to find a huge wet urine stain on the bed in a room that was supposed to be prepared. When I told the hotel manager straight away, he calmly said it was his dog’s urine and that the dog apparently had a habit of going into rooms. The place was unsanitary. I can’t recommend it unless you’re okay with animal urine.

The rooms are pleasant, and the hotel is very nice. Breakfast and the restaurant food were excellent, and we received a very warm welcome. I highly recommend it.

We stayed overnight at this small hotel-restaurant in La Tranche-sur-Mer. It’s quiet, clean, and easy to park at, and just a one-minute walk from the beach. The welcome was good, the bedding and towels were nice, and breakfast was simple but complete. There was a bit of noise in the evening, though. You can hear people easily through the walls and in the hallway.

A little out of the way, but this hotel is very pleasant. The welcome was excellent, our room was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant was nice too.
