La Côte de Lumière

We didn't stay here, but the little Ville has a great cafe and bar across the road. That was where we had the best coffee of our trip in France, and the patisserie next door had fantastic cakes. La Terriere's beach was the real highlight for us, with huge waves and gorgeous sand. The lifeguards were efficient and friendly, and you can get food at the beach cafes. The large car park at the top is no longer free, and a day there is quite expensive. My tip is to look for a road without restrictions or fees.

At Hotel La Côte de Lumière, our room was cozy, comfortable and nicely decorated, and the welcome made us feel at ease straight away. The restaurant was another highlight, with delicious food, elegant presentation and impeccable service. This was my first visit, and I was delighted with it. A really successful stay, and I'd happily recommend the place for its comfort, friendly atmosphere and good food. It won't be my last visit.

The hosts were friendly and attentive, and we really liked the breakfast. We stayed two nights in the family room; it was quiet and very clean, with comfortable beds. We'd gladly come back if we get the chance to spend a few nights in La Tranche-sur-Mer again.
