Résidence l'Océan vue mer - 2 personnes

The pool was a real bonus for me, since I love looking at the sea but don't actually want to swim in it. We had a great week at Residence de l'ocean last summer, and only realized once we arrived how close everything was. The beach and its lovely sea views are just a few metres away, and La Tranche town centre is about a five-minute walk. Our apartment was comfortable and very clean, with plenty of kitchen gear, though I still failed to recreate some local dishes. I had fun trying! There are lots of restaurants in town. At Hotel de l'atlantique we sat outside, enjoyed seafood and wine, then had only a short walk home. We loved the place and plan to return. We also chatted with a French couple who have spent every summer there for nine years, always in the same apartment. After staying ourselves, I can see why.

The apartments are really well equipped, and the location is excellent, close to both the beach and the main boulevard. The staff were very sweet. Just bear in mind that cleaning costs extra, unless you do it yourself.

The house is lovely and the view is nice. Cleaning and the reception hours were the only downsides. Apart from those, it was really grand.

That view is outstanding, but I wasn't happy about the WiFi. It only works in the main building, not the outbuildings, and there’s no A/C either.
