The room is quiet and comfortable, without being overly fancy. Food is creative, varied, and beautifully done, and the wine list is exceptional with helpful advice available. Service at the front could be a touch more polished if they’re aiming for another star, but the staff are good. I’d take cheerful, smiling waiters over sombre ones any day, and I don’t need synchronized plate clearing or a dramatic cloche reveal. Really, very, very good. Prices are high but fair, at around 250 Euros per person if you drink sensibly. I’m surprised they don’t have another star.

Marion and Bruno are very friendly owners, and the wine list is remarkable, 80 pages long. I had a superb six-course meal at Hostellerie Jerome. Thanks, I’ll be back soon.

At Hostellerie Jerome, the menu offers a broad and delicious range of Mediterranean and Provencal cooking. It’s an outstanding restaurant in La Turbie, France, overlooking Monaco and close to the Roman Trophy of Augustus. It is quite expensive.
