It works well as a base for exploring the town, beaches, and nearby area by bike, whether you bring your own or rent one. The holiday home complex is quiet, though a little dated, and the garden is spacious with a very nice 8x4 meter pool. The kitchen is fully equipped. Depending on which house you choose, there are several bathrooms and separate toilets. There's also a garage and parking space, plus a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, stove, toaster, fridge/freezer, electric plancha grill (barbecuing isn't allowed), vacuum cleaner, and TV.

The location between the lake and the ocean is handy for activities, but the rental costs too much for what you get. The residences look attractive from outside, yet they're aging badly. The walls need freshening up, and the bathroom has so much mold that it urgently needs attention. Service was disappointing too: we waited a long time for cleaning when we arrived, the beds hadn't been made as requested, and the pool was green and its water level hadn't been maintained.

The staff were especially efficient. Our cooktop stopped working around midday, and they replaced it that afternoon; when we asked the agency for information by text, they replied a few minutes later. We stayed at Villa 21/15E over the 2020 All Saints' Day holiday. It's a lovely four-bedroom villa among the pines, with a nice private pool and a fully equipped kitchen that seemed like new. Both bathrooms worked well and had double sinks, one with a shower and the other with a bathtub. The bedding was fine, but thin fleece blankets weren't ideal for that time of year, even though the heating helped. I would have preferred duvets, and the garden furniture was a bit dated. The setting is very quiet, though a little far from the town center and beaches. They're quick to reach by car or bike. With duvets and somewhat nicer garden furniture, I'd have given it five stars.
