We went in August, and the meal and service were fantastic. Best meal out of the whole holiday.

We'd hoped for better food at that price, perhaps duck served with a sauce. It was our most expensive meal of the holiday so far, despite having just two courses and no wine, and probably the least satisfying. The food itself was okay.

The staff were superb, friendly and attentive. The view of the lake was good, and the restaurant served a great, simple menu, prepared and presented to a high standard.

The server seemed overworked and stressed, and couldn't give us a clear answer when we asked if we could get a drink and ice cream. They did let us take ice cream away, but the cone tasted about three months past its best. It felt like they didn't want customers who weren't ordering a full meal. I've rarely had such a bad experience.
