Les Hélianthes 5

The location is fantastic: the beach, supermarket, skate park, and town center are all an easy walk away. The balcony is fairly large and has a great sea view, though it's always shaded, which might keep the apartment cooler when it's warm outside. The landlords were easy to contact by email, and collecting and returning the key was straightforward. Inside, though, we found the apartment unclean on arrival. Some cutlery and dishes, the fridge, and the bathroom were dirty. There was only one duvet for two people. One bunk bed mattress was so worn out that I had to prop it up with a pillow because otherwise my hip hurt terribly. They replaced it during our stay, but there wasn't a second replacement, so my companion couldn't use the bunk and had to sleep on the living room sofa bed. That wasn't what we'd expected. We were given just one key, which was badly rusted and very hard to get into the jammed lock. Towels, bed linen, and Wi-Fi cost extra. Neighbors were sometimes noisy at night and in the morning, and the thin walls meant we could hear every word and kept getting woken up. There was no chance to sleep in, and the hallway smelled awful. The furnishings were sparse: only three chairs at the balcony garden table and exactly three cups. Surfboards aren't allowed inside the building.
