Villa Tribord

I don't normally leave negative reviews, but I'd rather warn other travelers. We rented the house for two weeks in July 2022 and had it to ourselves. The owner was very pleasant, as was her sister, who came to feed the cat. I have no complaint about either of them. The location is very good and the garden is large. The house itself wasn't suitable for children. The photos don't show how much furniture there is. It wasn't clean, and the bedrooms were very small. There was hardly any storage for tenants because everything was full, with tape or string holding some doors shut. The "new" kitchen was dirty and poorly equipped. There were 30 plates, for example, but only one frying pan. We thought renting from a local would mean we wouldn't be short of anything. There's an inventory, but it seemed mainly meant to list the paintings and furniture and their value in case of problems. One other thing caught us off guard: the owner cashed the security deposit check on the Monday after we moved in. We hadn't expected that and were naturally afraid we wouldn't get the money back. She gave us a check on the day we moved out, but I'd never seen anything like it.
