The village is peaceful and attractive, just outside La Rochelle, with plenty to see nearby. We found it easy to reach the centre by car or bus, and the coast by car or a rented bike. Inside, the B&B is very comfortable, with antiques the friendly, welcoming owners, Philippe and Yann, have found and restored. Yann's art is on display too. Breakfast was delicious, and Yann's Korean banquet was wonderful. It was too cold for us to use the pool, though it looked inviting. Highly recommended.

La Rochelle centre was an easy bus ride away, and having our own key meant we could come and go as we liked. At La Difference, Philippe and Yann were warm, polite, helpful, and full of useful information from the first day. Our ensuite room was cleaned daily and had tea-making facilities. We had a good balance of privacy and help when we wanted it, including tips on where to go and how to get there. I thoroughly recommend this lovely B&B in the pretty suburb of Lagord.

We had a wonderful stay, with nothing to complain about. The B&B is in a handy spot, 4km from La Rochelle's old port, and Philippe and Yann made a real effort to make us feel welcome. The atmosphere was cozy, and breakfast was generous, homemade, and included local specialties. They also shared maps of the region and great tips for finding local places.

Philippe and Yann were a big part of why we loved our time in La Rochelle. Philippe gave us great sightseeing, beach, and restaurant advice, and the breakfasts were generous, with Yann's homemade jams especially good. We felt wonderfully welcomed. A huge thank you, Sandrine and Sébastien. You're fantastic, don't change a thing, that's what makes THE DIFFERENCE!
