We keep coming back, though we almost hesitate to say how much we love it in case it gets too busy for our next visit. The proprietors do everything they can to make a stay memorable, and we had such a fun time. Our quiet, characterful en suite room had big shuttered windows over the Dordogne, a very comfortable bed, and quality linen. Breakfast was freshly made each morning and, when the weather allowed, served on the pretty balcony. The residence is right by the bridge and church, just a minute from local shops, bars, restaurants, and peaceful canal cycling routes. The hosts also know the area inside out and can suggest ways to explore on foot, by bike, train, or car.

I was in Lalinde for a weekend wedding in a nearby town, and staying at Maison Porte del Marty made the trip feel special. The hosts were warm, helpful, and accommodating. The house is beautiful, with fantastic views, and my room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. Breakfast was generous and served on the riverside terrace. Highly recommended.

My room had a spectacular view of the river, and Brian and Cheri were delightful hosts who went out of their way to make us welcome. I spent a couple of nights at Maison Porte del Marty, and it was one of the highlights of my trip to France. I'm already looking forward to coming back. Thanks, Brian and Cheri. Fantastic.

Brian and Cherie went out of their way to help us, including Brian driving us to Bergerac when train strikes meant we couldn't catch the train at Lalinde. We had a wonderful stay. Our room was fantastic, with a balcony of its own overlooking the river, and the bed was great. Breakfasts were delicious. We highly recommend staying here if you're in the Dordogne.

Lalinde has plenty of activities, and this is a nice base for touring the area. The proprietors are very friendly and know a lot about the region.
