Apartment Plein Soleil, Bd Mourcayrol 13

The building needs a complete maintenance overhaul. The studios are very noisy, and for the rent they're charging, the place is too old. To me, it's worth half that price, no more. Ground-floor apartments are occupied year-round by people on welfare (RSA), even though that apparently goes against the building's rules. I heard there are 63 such apartments. At 2:00 AM, a heavily intoxicated resident fell in the hallway four times and woke me up. The ground-floor studios are much too damp. Shower cubicle number 47 is covered in mold and disgusting, and I have photos. The owner has blocked off the corner with an ironing board, so it can't ventilate. At night, rats run along the ground-floor wall, and my dog can confirm it. There's practically no light down there either. I know I won't return to those ground-floor studios. The damp was unbearable, with 91% humidity by my white patio door.

It was my first time staying at a spa resort, like 95% of the residents. Being able to walk to the thermal baths was handy, and there's a laundromat and restaurant downstairs. Still, the old building gets very little upkeep inside, it's somewhat noisy, and some apartments are occupied all year by people in difficulty. I had two very unsettled nights because of a heavily intoxicated resident, and the police had to intervene. I won't be coming back.

The apartment was noisy, and while there is enough parking on-site, finding a space late at night can be difficult. The location itself is very good, right in the city center.

The setting is pleasant, and the people in charge are welcoming and helpful.
