We spent five nights here as a base for exploring Provence, and it felt like a little oasis. We loved winding down by the pool with wine and cheeses from the local markets, then going for a swim. The place had everything we could have wished for, and we honestly wanted to stay forever. Mornings were a treat too. We looked forward to leisurely breakfasts in the courtyard, with Marie's coffee and John’s freshly squeezed orange juice. Marie and John were wonderful hosts, and had thought through all the little details that made my husband and me feel special. The interiors were exquisite, and the dreamy bed was incredibly comfortable. The beautiful hosts made our stay feel magical. This B&B is straight out of a fairytale. Five-plus stars from us, and a must-stay in Provence. Thank you so much, we long to return.

The outdoor kitchen was a lovely surprise, with space for guests to store and prepare lunch or dinner. The pool and garden are gorgeous, with lots of spots to sit and relax outside. The bastide itself is beautiful and well located for an easy drive to Aix-en-Provence and pretty Provincial villages such as Lourmarin. The hosts were so welcoming and thoughtful. You can see the care and investment they've put into the house and the guest experience. Breakfast was a perfect French breakfast.

Marie and Jean-Philippe made us feel at home from the start. They were welcoming and personal throughout our stay, and went out of their way to help, with local tips, restaurant bookings, and even a cheese omelette in the morning. They really made sure we had what we needed. La Bastide is beautiful, and the work they've put into it is immense. The place reflects their exquisite taste and high standards, with a huge amount of effort behind it. It was perfect for our stay. I can't recommend this B&B enough. Merci Marie et Jean-Philippe!

We loved the room, grounds, pool, breakfast, and location, and the hosts were wonderful. Everything went beyond what we expected. We really didn't want to leave, and only wish we'd booked a longer stay. You won't be disappointed.

We were at La Bastide du Grandes Chênes in June 2022 during our trip to Provence. It's even better than the photos, and Jean-Philippe and Marie are très jolies ☺️. We liked the small but very nice pool, the tasty French-style breakfast, and the location near Aix en Provence. A tour of the public spaces in the house would have been nice, and we would have appreciated being able to use the pool in the evening. Thanks to Jean-Philippe for keeping our wine chilled during the stay 🙌🏻
