Breakfast outside by the pool, looking over the countryside, was a lovely start to the day. There was plenty to choose from, including homemade jams, cheeses and breads, so nobody leaves hungry. The rooms are spotless, with a big bathroom and a strong rainfall shower, handy after a day visiting vineyards and the pretty villages nearby. La Bastide is a converted barn with real charm, tucked down a private road. You can smell the lavender on the path, and Albi with its busy streets and great restaurants is only a short drive away. Fabrice and his mother made us feel very welcome. A peaceful place to stay while exploring the area. Thanks for a lovely visit, Fabrice, we’ll be back.

Some of our favorite stops during a two week trip came from Fabrice’s suggestions for nearby outings. He was a lovely host, attentive and warm, but also gave us room to do our own thing. We had a spacious room and a comfortable bed, and the pool was refreshing. Breakfast beneath the fig trees was a treat, with croissants, homemade cake and homemade jam. We had a wonderfully restful stay.

The breakfast was a real highlight, especially the delicious homemade things. Fabrice looked after us so well, and we left very thankful for a lovely stay. It’s a charming, peaceful house with lots of spots to sit back and relax. The setting is very quiet, and we had a wonderful time there.

We’ll be back. Fabrice was attentive throughout our three days, and his advice about Albi was helpful. Breakfast showed how much care he puts into looking after guests. The room was superb, and the gîte is splendid, both in its renovation and its outdoor setting. Sunflower fields and lavender in the garden surround this magnificent place, where charm and quiet make it easy to unwind. Thank you.

The hilltop setting gave us beautiful views across two valleys, and we were welcomed so warmly. Breakfast was delicious, and the suggestions for excursions were useful. The house has been renovated in a lovely modern style while keeping its original charm, which has been done with great care. We had a fantastic stay. Thank you!
