LOrée des Cimes (VLL121)

The spa was just okay, with no towels and cleanliness that could've been better. Our apartment faced another building and the parking area, and the ski lockers weren't heated. Inside, the place felt dated and could use renovation. The shower tiles weren't clean, the sheets were stained, and the WiFi didn't work at all, which isn't acceptable for 4-5 star accommodation. The kitchen was usable but nothing special. Honestly, the infrastructure at chalets in Austria is much better.

We've come here for the third time because it's a fantastic place to ski and enjoy the outdoors, with good ski schools and facilities. The CGH service, though, has been poor. Reception closes from 12:00 to 16:00, so everyone ends up having to leave at the same time. They also expect you to clean the kitchen or pay 80€ for it. And if you buy Spa time without booking a slot in advance, there may be no availability and they won't refund you. We were disgusted by that and strongly recommend not paying for the Spa upfront.

It's a nice apartment in a convenient spot near town. For what they're charging, a few things really need attention: the residence needs proper cleaning, along with basics like fresh towels and toilet paper. WiFi should actually work if it's being offered. The spa should have its own towels, since people carrying them from their rooms is unhygienic and a health hazard. And with so many stairs, a lift is needed for anyone with medical issues.

The apartments are a decent size, there's a nice pool, and you're close to a lift. Shops and restaurants take a bit of a walk to reach. I've stayed here a few times, but the terrible internet is why I can't recommend it. They blame the mountains, even though other places have fast internet. If you need to work online, bring your own 5g mini. These days, having no internet access feels like a crime.
