The setting by the ocean is a big part of what makes this place special, and the welcome from everyone made it feel genuinely restful. The classic building has been upgraded with real care. It’s not just somewhere to stop on the way through, it’s worth making the trip for.

During a chaotic February storm, we spent a night at Dek hôtel and felt tucked away in a really cozy little cocoon. It was just the spot for slowing down and taking a breather together. We loved watching Argenton harbor from the veranda with an aperitif, and breakfast on the terrace was full of homemade and regional products. The family room was spacious, with excellent bedding and fun children’s beds shaped like a ship’s cabin. The hotel is charming and tastefully decorated, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. A lovely escape, with a very warm welcome.
