Maison de Pors Guyon - Les pieds dans l'eau

The house is spacious, clean, welcoming, and well equipped, with a big enclosed garden that's nicely kept. It’s a great setup for a laid-back seaside break with good food. There’s plenty to do nearby when you’re off the water: walks, shore fishing, and places like Pleubian (CEVA center, Celtic Whisky), Paimpol, Lézardrieux, and Pontrieux, all about a 15-minute drive away. For kayak fishing, the location is superb, and with a bit of courage you can get to the Bréhat archipelago after passing the La Croix lighthouse. I’ve already booked my dates for 2024, so go for it!

The owner welcomed us warmly, and we’re hoping to come back soon. We spent a week here with our daughter and four grandchildren, and everyone had room to themselves, with spacious bedrooms, a large living room, a well-equipped kitchen, and two lovely bathrooms. The sunny veranda overlooks the garden where the children can play. The beach is just a three-minute walk across a small road, and the children could safely explore the tides. There are also lovely walks starting right from the house. It’s a beautiful, comfortable place, and very peaceful.

We were really disappointed when we arrived. The house looks onto the neighbor's place, which is right by the water, and you need big feet to get down to the water yourself. The rental photos are actually of the neighbors' house 😤 There are plenty of dishes, but no bikes to get around and no heating. What a saving! On top of that, it's €15 per bed and €80 for cleaning, which felt very expensive.

It’s a really beautiful place with a slightly romantic feel, especially if you’re a bit of a romantic yourself.
