A good spot to unwind, with the bus stop close by for getting to the lake or the nearest market. If you paraglide, you can walk to the landing area. Everything was clean enough and the services were good. The restaurant was tasty but a bit pricey. Pitches aren’t level, so bring blocks if you’re in a van.

The cycle path by the lake is nearby, and keen cyclists have some challenging Cols within easy reach. We had a great first family stay here. It’s a friendly little campsite where young kids have room to play freely.

The lake is a bit of a way off, though renting a bike from the local shop makes the trip manageable. Fredloc is highly recommended. The site itself is very clean and has everything you need, and the owners and staff were lovely and helpful. They also put on something each evening, from karaoke and games to movies.

We’ve been coming for years, and it’s a great base for seeing the lake and nearby towns. The village of doussard is beautiful, and there’s a good market on Monday mornings. It’s quiet, with plenty of shade under the trees, and never felt crowded, even when full. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is excellent and fairly priced, and the showers stay clean with no queues. The bottom of the lake is a five-minute drive away.
