The whole family loved the stay, and there’s parking on site. The building is quirky and old, with a few odd features, including an ensuite shower without a door or curtains. Breakfast was OK, though the hostess stood nearby while we ate. She meant well, but it felt a little off-putting. I also thought it was slightly expensive. The place wasn’t quite as nice as the reviews had led me to expect.

Our room for 4 had plenty of space and was very comfortable, with two separate rooms, a small living room, a shower room, a separate WC, and a wash basin in one of the rooms. We could go straight out to the patio and garden, where there’s a big trampoline and a little climbing frame for younger kids. Parking was private and shaded, and breakfast came with homemade jams.

The accommodation was great, and the host gave excellent service and spot-on restaurant suggestions. We were amazed by how much we enjoyed our stay. Best host ever, and we’ll come back here. 🔝

We liked having a play area for the children, and breakfast was wonderfully cooked. It was a nice change from a chain hotel. The place is a lovely overnight stop, a little off the beaten track. I’d recommend the nearby lake, with its beach and restaurants.

The children loved the play area, and the owner was friendly. It’s a lovely B&B tucked off the beaten path, with a lovely breakfast.
