We came back to Domaine of Courbières for a second stay and loved it again. It’s a comfortable Bed and Breakfast with good facilities for couples or families, set in lovely countryside. If you enjoy walking, you can climb the hills and might even catch a view of the Pyrénées. The owners are friendly and happy to share ideas for the many sightseeing spots and sporting activities nearby. Such a peaceful place to get away.

We found it hard to leave Sandrine and Pierre’s gîte after a lovely family week. The pool is roomy, pleasantly warm, and looks out over the surrounding landscape. There’s also a morning-shaded terrace that made July breakfasts especially nice, plus other terraces with beautiful views. We loved the open countryside, with sunflower fields and rolling hills stretching into the distance. Sandrine and Pierre were generous with tips for exploring Carcassonne, the Canal du Midi, Mirepoix, and the region. A nearby shop sells excellent local produce, and their own jam, plums, and apple juice were delicious. Domaine de Courbières felt like a wonderfully peaceful retreat.

The rooms were spotless and nicely decorated, with access to a kitchen and a private terrace. We had a lovely stay at Domaine de Courbières, thanks in part to the charming hosts and the beautiful setting near Carcassonne. We’d gladly come back.

The pool was a real pleasure during our stay at Domaine des Courbières, and Sandrine and Pierre were delightful hosts. We especially liked the sweeping views over the surrounding hills. It’s a very calm, relaxing place, and we had a lovely time there.

We chose the country-style dinner, served outdoors with a breathtaking view over the valley. The food was simple, delicious, and made with local produce, and we received a very warm welcome. A superb place to stop and a lovely experience.
