GEORGE B.
The restaurant staff were good, and the monkfish was nice, though we asked for salt and pepper. The £120 bill for two mains, a dessert, a modest bottle of wine and two aperitifs felt steep. The hotel dog was also barking around the restaurant, which I wouldn’t expect at those prices. The room was the real problem. We booked a suite for two nights, and it was a jumble of spaces: a small but fine bedroom with good air conditioning, a dark, tiny sitting room with no proper window or TV, then an entrance hall with a desk, one chair and tea and coffee. People could see into that last room and walk in from the pool, so we couldn’t use it or lock the door. The room also wasn’t shown in the booking website’s photos. The toilet was badly stained, apparently from months without proper cleaning. The shower needed refurbishing too: a soap dish fitting hung loose, old fittings had left unfilled holes, and the floor looked either dirty or chipped. I’ve included photos because I worried people might think I was exaggerating. I couldn’t bring myself to complain. The state of the facilities felt insulting, and I doubted they would understand the problem or that other rooms were cleaned any better. The hotel setting is lovely, but that didn’t make up for our room. I rarely leave bad reviews, yet this was disgraceful. It even made me wonder about kitchen standards. I’d replace the manager responsible for the accommodation. If there had been another hotel nearby, I’d have moved and asked for a refund. I would never stay here again.

The restaurant keeps things simple, but the dishes were cooked perfectly and the wine selection was admirable. The staff were what really made the stay, welcoming us from the start and doing their best to help us get the most out of our time there. The grounds are beautiful, and our room was completely comfortable. Le Resinier is a little gem. We’ll be back!

A great place to unwind after a long drive, with a pool, drinks and snacks served poolside, and free parking right in front of the hotel. We stayed in the annexe and had a nice room. It’s an oasis by the main road, and the service is great. The restaurant is exceptionally good, so make sure you arrive in time to eat there as well as sleep.

We came without a car and got into a desperate situation. The lovely owner went above and beyond to rescue us, and we were so grateful. We’d booked Le Resinier because we had an appointment nearby, and it was perfectly placed for us. We got a lovely, friendly welcome. The room was clean and lovely, with a comfy bed, and the pool was a big bonus, with lots of places to sit and relax. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic, and the wine was amazing too. I wish we’d stayed more than one night. I’d highly recommend this lovely family run hotel. X

We had an amazing family lunch. The food was really amazing, and the foie and squid were incredible. Best restaurant I’ve tried in the area.
