We’ll be back. The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully laid out, and the grounds were lovely and relaxing, with a nice pool. The staff were friendly and gave us great tips for enjoying Ile de Re. L’Ocean Hotel is in Le Bois, a quiet village, at least in September, and an easy walk from a spectacular beach. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and generous. We also had a tasty lunch here, with ceviche that had interesting flavors and burrata et tomates. Merci beaucoup!

We only stayed two days, but it was just right. The village is beautiful and there’s a picturesque beach within walking distance. The hotel was quiet during our October visit and had very good facilities. I even got to swim in the pool. Dinner was excellent, breakfast was fine, and the staff were lovely.

There’s a restaurant here with a good choice of seafood and meat, all prepared with care, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is charming, near the center, with quiet, well equipped rooms. Private parking is available, but you need to reserve it. I thought it was worth what we paid. Enjoy!

We had a fantastic holiday here and hope to return one day. The place was very quiet, the room cozy and clean, and housekeeping was really quick. There’s a clean swimming pool and a tearoom offering free tea after 4pm. Breakfast was good too. The restaurant is high level, so book ahead, as there are only a few restaurants in town.

We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, and everything we tried was delicious. It seems to be the most popular restaurant in town, for good reason, and the restaurant staff were especially lovely. The hotel was really clean, nicely decorated and very relaxed. Our room was big, airy and spacious. I’d highly recommend it if you want somewhere to unwind on ile de re.
