Hôtel de Milan

The owner is very kind and clearly a cycling aficionado, so cyclists will feel right at home here. We had a great room, a comfortable bed, lots of breakfast choices, and a lovely view of Alp d'Huez. A wonderful hotel.

We only had one night to unwind after a work trip, and Hotel de Milan made it a memorable one. Chrystelle welcomed us warmly on a rainy afternoon in late October, and we immediately felt at home. There's history and a playful art deco feel throughout, with cozy shared spaces and comfortable rooms that seem carefully put together. What stays with me most is the personal warmth. Chrystelle's love for her town and its cycling culture comes through, and it makes the place feel like guests can become friends. It's a lovely base for the Alpe d'Huez roads or just a cozy getaway. We'd love to return, if we can get a reservation!

There was plenty of secure bike storage, and the food went down very well with our hungry cycling group. Breakfast was just as good and set us up for the day. We were a group of 46, with rooms in the hotel and in nearby houses owned by the hotel, all within 100 metres. The rooms and supporting amenities were all great. Chrystelle and her team worked tirelessly from our arrival until we left, and the bar team were kept busy. The beer was good too. Chrystelle was brilliant to deal with from our first enquiry, and the hotel is right in the middle of Le Bourg d’Oisen, with outdoor seating where you can have a beer and take in the views. What an amazing hotel. We'll definitely be back.

A very nice hotel with welcoming hosts. They were flexible and gave us helpful advice about the area and the best ways to do what we had planned.
