Le Domaine de Pecany

Nature and quiet are what this campsite is all about, and we felt right at home for an incredible week. The owners are really friendly, especially Sam! We loved the duck dinner and would gladly come back. Thanks for your hospitality! The Normans!

We rented a gypsy caravan for a week and were very happy with our stay. Domaine de Pecany is peaceful and surrounded by nature, and the owners are very pleasant and welcoming. There are forest walks and hiking and cycling trails along the Dordogne River. They also rent the estate for family meals or end-of-year celebrations, with a large gîte (holiday cottage) for groups and big families. I highly recommend it.

We were in the area on holiday and spent an evening at the Domaine de Pecany, where we enjoyed a traditional French open-air café and a convivial duck dinner. The owner and waitress were very kind and helpful. The singer and guitarist were fantastic, playing rock standards, pop songs, and jazz classics, so there was something for everyone. We had a wonderful time! We weren't staying at the Domaine, so I can't speak to the accommodations.

We had a lovely week at the accessible guesthouse. The setting is pleasant, and while the mosquitoes were out in force on the first night, they were gone after one bite. The manager seemed tense at first, but turned out to be a very kind gentleman with lots to teach you. His wife is truly charming and passionate about her work. We were lucky to catch a superb evening performance by the singer Louise D. If you enjoy peace and nature, this little corner of paradise is worth discovering, and the performance added some life to our stay.
