Their card terminal wasn't working.

The owners were so friendly and helpful, and the wine list had a nice local, unusual selection. We enjoyed the fresh local ingredients, all cooked just right. Such good cooking at very reasonable prices, it was a real treat.

The restaurant was a lovely place to sit, and the dishes were well prepared. I especially liked the big selection of teas. Our room was spacious with modern decor, and the hotel sits in a quiet spot in a small, typical village in the region. My only small complaint is that there weren't many room amenities. A soap dispenser would've been a useful addition.

The trout with almonds seemed to have come straight from the package, raw and not roasted, and it had no flavor. We weren't offered any seasoning either. Maybe they think a salt-free diet is good for us! The melon was rock hard, and the ham was extremely salty. The terrace was so narrow that it was hard for our group of five to talk. When it started raining, we moved inside, where there were lots of irritating flies. After the rain stopped, we ate in the draft. We were lucky we hadn't planned to stay overnight. If the hotel is anything like the restaurant, we made the right call. They may think we're just passing through and that it doesn't matter, but we have family and quite a few work contacts in the area. They really need to make an effort for everyone's benefit.
