ibis Roanne

The pool was a welcome plus, and our son was able to swim even late in the evening. The downsides were the restaurant being closed on weekends and a very poor breakfast. If you arrive hungry, finding an open place nearby is difficult since most restaurants are closed. We found resto vietnamien Kim Chi, which was very good and one of the few places open until 22.00. By 9.30 the coffee machine was empty, so we had to ask the bar for everything, like everyone else. There were only two staff members, and they could barely keep up.

The pool was closed, so don't come expecting to use it. The room air conditioning didn't work either. When I asked, the staff member said all the rooms were like that, with no concern or offer of a solution. I'm filing a complaint. The hotel supposedly has three EV charging points, but none work. Chargemap suggests they've been broken for months, and the hotel doesn't seem to care about fixing them. This was much worse than a standard ibis budget, where at least the air conditioning works, and the service was below f1hotel. Very bad for an Ibis.

Great hotel, though there were no sun beds by the pool. I also had to keep asking for breakfast items to be replenished.

The air conditioning was out in room 229, and after switching to room 114 I found the same problem. I suspect the whole hotel's air conditioning was malfunctioning, though the staff assured me it wasn't. My stay last year was better.
