Hôtel 19'Cent

The main issue for me was the WiFi. It didn't work at all, and for a business trip it has to work properly, so I wouldn't stay here again. The €100 a night seems to be for the location, because this simple hotel doesn't justify that price. There's no fully staffed desk, just someone around at breakfast and checkout. The rooms are large, modern, and fairly clean, though the carpet tiles need replacing. The bed was clean and very comfortable. The air conditioning is poor, half the lights didn't work, and the shower drained badly. Breakfast was standard but good, and the machine coffee was okay. The decor is odd. The bar stayed closed the whole time, though it has a beautifully original look, which I like. The breakfast room is original too. The red fluorescent lighting in the foyer, stairwell, and landings made the place look like a cheap brothel. What was the interior designer thinking? It's not a bad hotel otherwise, but my next business trips to Le Cruesot will unfortunately be out of town. It's a unique building. The walls could tell some interesting stories.
