La Rose des Vents

We spent five nights here, from the 13th to the 18th September, and it was one of our best short breaks in Northern France. Michelle gave us a list of restaurants, and we ate at five different ones during our stay. The location also works really well as a base for exploring, especially for Le Train de la Baie de Somme, which runs on some days from 11am near the town centre. Bring a cushion, though, as most of the seats are wooden. Michelle looked after us from arrival right through to departure, always with a smile. The room was spotless, and we had keys for it, a lockable safe, and a separate key to use the breakfast room. That room was also available during the day if we wanted to eat a light lunch we’d bought. Breakfast was continental, with bread, croissants, different yogurts, and boiled eggs prepared to order by Michelle. There was always plenty of tea and coffee.

The breakfast was decent, and the shared kitchen was comfortable and well equipped. Our room was roomy, very clean, and had everything we needed, with tasteful decor. We’d happily come back.

We were welcomed warmly and got some excellent tips. Lunch was delicious, and the kitchen was available whenever we needed it. The beach is very close, about 200m away, and our room was spotless and nicely set up. Having private parking was a real bonus. I highly recommend it.
