Hôtel L’Anse Bleue

Affordable, a good spot, and only 300m from the sea.

The team were incredibly kind, and we were given a very warm welcome. The pool is superb, and there is direct access to Diamant beach. Anse Bleue is surrounded by trees, which made it especially pleasant. We spent 10 days at the residence and had a wonderful time in two small bungalows, each with a terrace and outdoor kitchen. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and air-conditioned. The bathrooms had a few minor issues, but nothing serious, and the outdoor kitchens had the basics. It's worth remembering that life in Martinique is lived outdoors, and the market is the place to find food. We also recommend meeting Dorothée, who offers fantastic excursions and excellent advice. We took the 4x4 trip and got to see the rainforest and sugarcane fields, then spent a day on a catamaran. It was heavenly!

The room had air conditioning and a small kitchen with the essentials. The beds were large, two 90cm beds. The residence is quiet and lovely, with friendly staff who were very helpful. The market is nearby, and the beach, with great waves, is 200m away.

The surroundings were really pleasant and peaceful, which makes the problems all the more disappointing. The bedding was awful, worn, stained, and creaking at the slightest movement. During our 13 nights, the bathroom wasn't cleaned once, and the kitchen door only opened if kicked. Such a shame!
