For a single night while passing through the area, it does the job. The staff weren't especially attentive, and I didn't feel the price was particularly good value.

The owners are welcoming and attentive whenever you need something, and the gîte is a handy base for hiking. It's good value, with rooms that are perfectly fine for a short visit. Just be aware that the two bathrooms are shared with other guests. There are a few small things that could be better, though nothing major.

We arrived after driving more than 100 km and found the gîte shut, despite booking through a Smartbox voucher about ten days earlier. Nobody answered the door or phone. The owner's father, who is also the village mayor, happened to be around and was very friendly and helpful. He confirmed the place was officially closed, so we couldn't stay. Don't count on availability shown on sites like Booking.com. The owner hadn't registered there.

No rooms for rent here. It's a country restaurant, with tables in the shade of plane trees.

We'd only planned to stay one night, but the owners made us feel so welcome that my friend and I decided to add another. The place has been beautifully renovated, the service was impeccable, and the food was excellent. For that price, you eat and stay like royalty. They're an accommodating couple who really look after what guests need. If you're nearby, don't miss this lovely guesthouse. Highly recommended!
