The welcome was perfect, and Petit Havre beach is very close. Getting there can be a hassle, though, with heavy traffic and awkward parking. Our semi-detached apartment shared a terrace with the next one, with only a curtain between them, and there was very little soundproofing.

The owners wouldn't acknowledge the problem, and we weren't happy with the service during our 10-day Guadeloupe holiday. The booking photos showed two complete rooms, each with air conditioning. What we found was just one air-conditioned room and a sofa bed with no air conditioning, so the pictures didn't match. A friend stayed and rented two rooms for two days on separate occasions. He couldn't get a quote and ended up paying €80 per night for himself.

There's no private parking, so expect to head out in the morning and come back late if you want to find a space in front of the residence. That's a shame, especially with the location near one of Guadeloupe's most beautiful beaches. Our apartment also felt dated, and all the bedding needs replacing urgently, along with the toilet brush.

Sandrine was so welcoming and attentive, answered all our questions, and was flexible about our arrival and departure times. We had a fantastic stay in a comfortable apartment with a pool, just 50 meters from the sea. It worked really well with our children, including our 3-year-old. Parking can be tricky since there's no private space, but it's easy after 6 pm, and being so close to a beautiful beach makes that understandable. We'll be back next year. Thanks, Sandrine!
