Studio Residence de la Vieille Tour

The apartment itself was in good condition. The bed was large and comfortable, so we slept exceptionally well, and the kitchen had plenty of equipment, including a Nespresso machine and basic food supplies. Getting in was a maze, though, and there was no access information. You have to enter through the neighbouring Auberge de la Vieille Tour by buzzing at the electric gate, then go through two more car parks and a barrier that needs a code. The building is pretty run down, with crumbling concrete exposing rebar and rusty railings. The location is handy, with beautiful beaches an easy stroll one way and a few nice restaurants and a boulangerie the other. Supermarkets are about a 10-minute drive. The host was generous and quick to respond, which made a big difference to my review. Le Gosier has frequent water outages. During our stay, water was off each day from around 17:00 to 10:00, though the host had left an emergency supply for the bathrooms. Since covid, only hotel guests can use the hotel pool, so Résidence apartment guests aren't allowed in.
