We asked for a mountain-view apartment when booking, and someone from the residence got in touch to say the one we’d reserved didn’t have the view we wanted. Thanks to that heads-up, we switched to a “gold” apartment for a small extra fee, and the view was absolutely worth it. We’ve travelled with CGH for 13 years, and it’s always a treat. This stay at CGH Le Village de Lessy in Le Chinaillon was fantastic too. The reception ladies, handyman, and cleaning staff all greeted us with smiles and were happy to help. The facilities were spotless and well maintained, and we relaxed and made more lovely memories. Big thanks to the whole team. After stays with CGH, it’s hard to imagine booking elsewhere. Can’t wait to return.

The staff at the Residence were all so kind and attentive, and I had a wonderful time there. I’ll definitely come back.

The balcony’s concrete floor wasn’t very appealing, and the WiFi was okay. Still, it was good value for this time of the season, when other apartments cost more. The rooms were comfortable, with a handy location for shops and the lift to the pistes. Staff were friendly, the pistes were in view, and the kids enjoyed the pool after skiing. The kitchen was simple but well equipped, basic cleaning supplies were provided, and the beds were comfy. Underground parking cost extra, though that wasn’t a problem in April.

Getting to the ski slopes was easy enough once we figured out the crazy lift system. We stayed four nights during ski season. The apartment was clean, fully functional, and well equipped, though a bit dated.

The mountain scenery around Grand Bornand is stunning, and we loved the variety of skiing. You can ski down to the main village of Grand Bornand or catch a bus to nearby La Clusaz for more great slopes. Our transfer from Geneva airport took only an hour, which made getting there easy. We can’t wait to return next year, it feels like a hidden gem. My friend and I stayed in these 4* apartments with ski company Peak Retreats and were impressed by how close everything was in Chinaillon. Depending a little on where your apartment is in the building, it’s a short walk across the road and down in an elevator to reach the Front de Neige in the morning. The residence has a pool with panoramic views of the slopes and mountains, plus a Jacuzzi, sauna, and steam rooms. There’s also a large reception area with an open fire and more panoramic views. The apartments had everything we needed for a week, and the beds were super comfy. A grocery shop under the residence and a few other shops were very handy.
