Being able to get around the village on foot or by free shuttle was a real plus, and the mazot is right in the center of Le Grand Bornand. It’s very quiet despite the central setting, with a lovely valley view and parking. The place has the authentic “mazot” style we were looking for, and it was laid out and equipped just as described. The owner welcomed us warmly and gave us helpful advice. We weren’t disappointed.

The apartment makes it easy to reach the slopes, restaurants and town center shops without a car, which was a real treat. The owner gave us a very warm welcome, was friendly and pleasant, and had useful advice. The bedding wasn’t very comfortable, the one small drawback, but we managed for a week. I’d recommend it.

The chalet sits on a fairly steep slope, with the shuttle buses stopping about 100 meters away, either above or below. That could be difficult for some people. We had a ground-floor place, with spacious rooms and living space and a pleasant outdoor area. Thanks to our host for the helpful tips and for paying such close attention to cleanliness and hygiene.

Everyone in the family gets their own space here, and the kids absolutely love the mezzanine bedroom. It has all the comforts you need for a really enjoyable break while keeping its original charm. A little gem in the heart of this beautiful village, and one we’d highly recommend to families.
