Le Mayflower

We arrived after a ten-hour motorcycle trip in the full summer heat to find our reservation had been cancelled without any notice. The reception was already closed, and we spent almost two hours waiting on a help line that was no use. Being left at the door was a terrible welcome. In the end, we booked a proper hotel at the last minute, where they were happy to take us in, and we never looked back. If you don’t want to risk arriving with nowhere to stay and having to scramble for a last resort, avoid this place.

We’ve stayed at the Mayflower more than ten times and highly recommend it. It’s good value for a fair price, with the village, beach, shops, and restaurants nearby. I’d especially suggest it for stays of up to five days. We’ll be back soon!

It did the job, though the service felt expensive for what we got. Some rooms are close to the street, so there’s noise, and leaving a window open in the day or at night could mean theft.

The apartments look a bit old, but they’re fine. The location is good, about 200 m from the sea. My only real downside was the small double bed in the kitchen.
