Splendid Hôtel Camargue

The hotel is right on the seafront, and you can unload just outside, but there was no parking available, so we had to find a spot on nearby streets. I appreciated having a bathroom with room to put our toiletries instead of setting them on the floor. The restaurant was splendid, and the one next door was really nice for dinner too.

The sea right outside the hotel made it a magnificent place to relax and take walks along the beach. We stayed 12 nights at the Splendid Camargue hotel, and the rooms were clean and well kept, so we were comfortable. Overall, we came away with a positive impression. The trouble was with reception and the laundry. Some of our clothes were ruined when they were washed at the wrong temperature. We asked for compensation, even a partial amount, but they refused. After that, we were refused the laundry service altogether, which was disappointing. It's not the best hotel, but its location makes it a suitable place for a seaside stay.

I loved the tequila sunrises, and the sunsets themselves were beautiful. The hotel is right on the seafront, with shops, restaurants and activities close by. Downstairs there's a great bistro and restaurant, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful too. Getting there by car takes a bit of planning, but don't let that put you off. It's a superb hotel and great value.

The staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean. My work brought me to the south of France for a week, and I was lucky to find this place for the whole stay. I had a beautiful sea-view room with a balcony where I drank coffee each morning. I'm from the United States, and I'd been told to make sure my hotel had air-conditioning. Their website said it did, so I was glad. One thing for other US travelers to know: the air-conditioning isn't available year-round. When I arrived around the middle of October, it was working, but after a few days I thought it had broken. I asked the front desk to have someone check, and they explained it had been switched off after a certain date. I also wish there had been coat hooks in the room. Visiting in fall, I had jackets and scarves, and somewhere to hang them on the walls would have been handy. I'd highly recommend the hotel.
