Hotel Urban City

The location made getting around easy. The hotel is right by the train and bus station, and Le Havre's attractions are walkable. Public transport is accessible through its app, with cheap deals. It's also handy for trips to Etretat, Honfleur, and other Normandy towns because the bus station is so close. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, as well as a supermarket and boulangeries. The hotel has been newly renovated, with exceptionally clean rooms of decent size. They include the essentials, like a coffee machine, desk, and sitting area. Facilities were excellent, including an eco-friendly towel-drying machine!!!!!! Service was excellent too, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and smiling.

The only drawback was the lack of closet space. Aside from that, it worked out great: friendly reception staff, modern decor, and a good spot right in front of the train station. A very good hotel overall.

The room was as expected, and breakfast had a small but good selection with locally sourced produce. The location is very good, just in front of the train, tram, and bus stations and stops.

In room 302, the carpet smelled strongly of urine, and I couldn't sleep. The bed was covered in hair, and I had to change the linen and vacuum the room myself on check-in day. The manager said that finding someone else's hair here and there on the bed and floor was totally fine, and wouldn't help me change the linen. He introduced himself as the hotel owner and spoke to me aggressively. I've never been spoken to in such a rude, insulting way. He said there was something wrong with my face, and told me it was his hotel, so I couldn't touch the bed to show him it was filthy or take pictures. This place was absolutely dirty and nowhere near four stars. The manager clearly has no idea what basic hygiene means. He has mental problems and shouldn't be near people. Avoid this dirty, stinky place.
