Hotel Spa Pasino

A really nice hotel with a small casino that has what you need if you enjoy playing. There’s a huge selection of slots, but only 1 Black Jack table, 1 Roulette table, and a couple of other card tables.

The neighborhood was pleasant, with lots of cafés and restaurants, though sadly most were shut on Monday night. Our room was clean and spacious, and the city view was nice. Breakfast didn’t offer much choice, but what was available was good quality and cost €17. The location is away from the centre, but it worked perfectly for our client visit. I didn’t try the spa, gym, bar, bistro, or casino, though they all looked nice.

The staff were friendly, and getting around was easy: the train station is about a 15-minute walk, and the tram stop is five minutes away, with service to la plage. The hotel is clean, though it’s not a brand-new property and you can tell. The bridge is right opposite, and the view is especially beautiful at night if your room faces it. The brasserie also has a nice view of the bridge. There’s food, a gym, spa treatments, and even a casino for this price, so it feels like good value. My one suggestion is that they pay more attention to personal service and guest needs.

The breakfast had fresh juice, pancakes, several kinds of bread, fruit, yoghurt, and coffee or tea. The front of the hotel looks out over the water and bridge. There’s a casino, buffet breakfast, bistro, spa, pool, and private parking. If that lot is full, street parking is free from 17:00 to 09:00, and on Sundays. The room was very comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. The only downside for me was the exterior lighting shining on the building at night. When you wake up, for a moment it feels like daylight, even with the blackout curtains. I personally wouldn’t call this a place for kids.
